Help Latinx Womxn Group Produce Maria Irene Fornes
Have you ever dreamed of seeing the genius plays of Maria Irene Fornes live?
Seeing Fefu and her Friends, Sarita, The Conduct of Life, Mud or Springtime?
How about a show that would give you a taste of it all? A show that would not only perform Fornes but incorporate Latin American music and spoken word poetry? A tribute, a celebration of this matriarch of Latinx playwriting?
AND at an affordable ticket price!?

And we need your help!
Our young, emerging all Latinx Womxn Theatre Collective is determined to make this happen and know we can get there with your help. A donation of any size can help make our dream a reality. Funds collected will go directly towards:
● Venue ($2500)
● Royalties ($500)
● Production: costumes, lights, props, set and sound ($1500)
● Transportation (Monthly MetroCard for cast + crew) ($1150)
● If we meet operational needs, we pray and hope to provide cast + crew stipends ($2000)
We must secure the venue and royalty fees ($3000) by end of July at the latest!!! Please help us get there!!! We promise this will be an amazing, unforgettable theatre experience. We can’t wait to have you in the audience as we pay tribute to Maria Irene’s trailblazing genius who amplified and brought our Latinx community center stage.
We want to welcome you back into the theatre! We want you to dream with us and feel the magic of Fornes. We have been longing for the day to make this happen. Now, our time has come.
