Help Laquita Dunlap (Fairington Apts. fire)

On the afternoon of December 11, 2020, my family's lives changed forever.  We were at home doing our normal activities when we heard yelling, smelled smoke and realized that our apartment building was on fire.  We lived on the 3rd floor of the unit.  Because the fire blocked the doorway out of the unit, me and my 5 children (ages 3 to 15) were forced to jump from the 3rd floor of the apartment unit to save our lives.  I threw the 3 year old down first, who was thankfully caught by an angel of a man walking by and saw the building on fire.  My 14 year old daughter jumped and was also caught, only suffering a sore arm.  My 7 year old daughter jumped and fractured bones in her legs.  My 13 year old son jumped and broke 3 bones in his back.  My 15 year old son jumped and broke both legs, both ankles and his arm (he is presently wheelchair bound).  I broke my back, fractured a rib and fractured my ankle.  Worst of all, being 2 months pregnant, I loss my baby due to the jump.  We are all out of the hospital recovering, but we are also homeless due to the fire.  Presently we are living in an extended stay motel and are trying to get back on our feet.  What we need help with is finding a home to rent, funds to buy food, clothing and necessities and help with medical expenses.  We are grateful for any and all help, assistance and prayers.
