Support Lakisha Johnson and Her Family After the Eaton Fire
Dear Friends, Sorority Sisters, and Supporters,
Ralinda Watts, here! I’m reaching out to you as the sorority sister of Lakisha Johnson, a dedicated educator, leader, and proud member of Alpha Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Lakisha has always been a beacon of strength and service, inspiring others through her work and leadership. Now, she needs our support. The devastating Eaton Fire destroyed Lakisha’s home, her cherished childhood home, and much of the historic Black neighborhood of Altadena. This community is not just her home but also a vital part of Los Angeles' Black history and multigenerational experience that is often unknown or forgotten. We’ve created this GoFundMe to help Lakisha and her family during this challenging time, with the hope and fervor to one day in the foreseeable future return to Altadena.
The funds raised will go toward:
• Essential needs, including clothing, household items, and other unexpected expenses to support the family in getting back on their feet.
• Supporting the family's healing process and recovery not covered by other sources of disaster aid.
Your contribution, no matter the size, will help ensure the family can regain comfort, healing, and stability while preserving the legacy of this historic, thriving Black community,
We thank you in advance for your generosity, prayers, and support. Together, we can help Lakisha and her family.
In community.
