Help Kym's Family with Funeral and Memorial Costs

Hello. I'm Suzanna Beltran and along with family and friends, we are raising funds to help cover transport, funeral and memorial expenses, and to support Kym's family during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference and help ease the financial burden on her loved ones as they grieve and begin to heal.

Kym Morquecho tragically lost her life in a car accident in Tennessee. She was relocating to Massachusetts to begin her Ph.D. studies. Kym had just completed her ninth year of teaching English at Rowe High School in McAllen, Texas, and was on the verge of an exciting new chapter in her life, one that matched the endless ambition she carried in her heart.

Kym was a force: witty, sharp, and always ready with a clever remark or a laugh that made even the most ordinary moments memorable. After earning her Master’s degree in English from UTRGV in 2023, she set her sights on making a lasting mark in academia. But it was her loving nature, her generosity of spirit, and her ability to surprise you with her unexpected brilliance and heart that truly set her apart.

She was the kind of person who gave without hesitation, who saw the good in others before they saw it in themselves. Kym had a rare ability to make people feel seen, heard, and valued. Her students adored her, her colleagues respected her, and her friends cherished her.

Kym’s life was a beautiful mix of bold dreams and tender connections. Though her journey was tragically cut short, her impact will be felt for years to come in every student she inspired, every classroom she filled with light, and every life she made a little better just by being in it.

We will miss her laughter, her drive, her kindness, and her surprising sparkle. She was truly one of a kind.
