Help Kristal & Her Family through this Tragedy
Donation protected
My wife's amazing little sister, Kristal (21, Army), was in a tragic head-on collision with a distracted truck driver on Saturday, March 16. Kristal was only driving but a small sedan. In her passenger seat was a her friend and colleague, who passed away on-site. They had just left from their drills and were grabbing ice cream before coming home.
Kristal survived the crash! She's a fighter, one of the strongest people I know, but things aren't looking good... Both legs (femurs) and one arm were shattered. She was put into a medically induced coma upon arrival at the hospital. Sunday morning, she underwent multiple surgeries, and by the afternoon, we recieved word that all went well and that they would begin to wake her up come Monday morning...
Around 1am on Monday, her brain began to swell at critical levels. They removed a piece of her skull to relieve the pressure, amongst other things, but she really needs your thoughts and prayers right now!!! She's fighting, but the swelling hasn't gone down and we're waiting for either a miracle or for them to declare brain death on Tuesday...
She's so young, just joined the Army last year to serve other, just got her license, just got a puppy, she has so many people that love and count on her, including my 4yr old son who's her BFF. This hurts and life sucks so much. No matter the upcoming outcome, her family is really going to need help.
I don't know what the correct amount is for something like this, I feel nothing but guilt and pain in making this, but any donations would go a long way in showing Kristal and her family how much others care! Time off work for parents, medical, travel, food and supplies, and potential worst-case costs of something that we don't even want to think about... there's just so much. Thank you for reading all of this. If it's possible to update you all on this platform, I will.
