In March of 2018 Krista was diagnosed with breast cancer. She fought her way through chemo with a smile on her face and a determined spirit. She had a double mastectomy and reconstruction. Her positive attitude was contagious. So much so the nurses at the cancer center wanted her to shine her light with other patients in similar situations. She fought and won. She beat breast cancer!
About a year after being cleared of breast cancer she started to have sharp pains in her side. After speaking with her doctor she was told it was her gallbladder and needed to have it removed. After going in for what, at the time was a routine surgery, the surgeon who happened to be an oncologist, took a look at her liver and immediately stopped the surgery because it was not her gallbladder it was in fact liver cancer that was causing her pain.
Having to fight cancer again is extremely overwhelming. The least I could do is see if there is any way to alleviate the financial burden that comes with this disease. The family is still paying for the breast cancer and the thought of more tests, chemo and surgery can bring considerable financial stress.
Please help Krista, Lance and Rory minimize the financial burden that comes with fighting this awful disease.
