Help Mahinda’s Family Rise From the Ashes
The fire took everything. Now, they're fighting to survive.
When flames engulfed their Kibera home Nairobi in the dead of night, Fredrick Mahinda's family lost it all. His courageous niece, Hope, suffered severe burns while trying in vain to rescue their two beloved dogs from the inferno, unfortunately the dogs Happy and Bobby didn't make it . The family watched helplessly as their home along with all their possessions, documents, and cherished memories turned to ash.
Now, they're living in a makeshift shelter, exposed to Kenya's relentless rains. Hope's burns need urgent medical attention. Without IDs, passports, and school certificates, they can't work, access healthcare, or continue their education. Their situation grows more desperate with each passing day.
