Well ,Here goes the story. Many of you know the health battles I have endured since I retired from. EMS. It all started with a simplevvenous ulcer on my L foot , then another on my heel , then osteomyelitis (it will kill ya), then it got to my bloodstream, then came not knowing what it was . So cancer treatment started,lympnodes removed, 12 units of blood in 11 months, whoops! It's not cancer, still bad sick, hyperbaric treatment for ulcers, 2 seizures while ascending, what's the problem???? The demon,,,, air!! Air breaks in a hyperbaric chamber fixed the seizures!! ⁰ so the journey continues, surgery with external circular fixator. 5 months later it came off. PHASE 2: Rubbed blister on R heel while heeling the the left leg wheelchair, walker,crutches,and now the knee scooter!!. Well the demon(osteomyelitis) still creeping, ended up in my right foot,had a small sore (blister) on my big toe. So,it turned black in 2 days time and I'm bad sick again, had it removed in a emergency surgery in tyler. Well that dr. Didn't get all the bone that was infected. Next step the Demon settled in my heel, attached to my heel bone and achilles tendon. So back to FRISCO TO THE REAL FOOT DOCTOR!! Dr.Justin Kane. This man is the best!! He opened my foot up, removed the rest of toe bone and part of my second toe. Next was to extract the Demon from my heel! This was kinda snakey!! A 9" incision was made from the bottom of my foot up the back of my leg . My heel bone was shaved and reformed,achilles tendon was removed and replaced. Healing began and was going well until the ulcer that was removed decided to return! So, as I'm broken knowing the outcome if it don't heal.. so today, I came to Frisco to a appointment with Dr.Kane today. He says come back in 1 month. Woundcare is of utmost importance! I'm changing Woundcare doctors today hoping for a new set of eyes for healing. Infection again means AMPUTATION of my R leg. So,,,,,, during this time we've exhausted all our savings, I'm unable to work,applied for Disability now for 3rd time. I've never been the lawyer type but I may resort to that. We've had numerous friends and Relatives help us along the way. We've sold numerous items and now are trying to sell our vehicles to keep a roof over our head as we endure this journey. NOW, if you have read this far, I thank you . Venetia and I just ask for prayers from everyone for my healing and our well being!!! I turned everything to the Lord because is the healer if it's meant to be and its all in his plan and only he knows the outcome.. I know I left out some steps but it's close!! WE LOVE YALL!!
