HELP KEVIN "BEEFY" ELDRIDGE IN HIS FIGHT AGAINST LUNG CANCER
Donation protected
Our dear friend Dee Dee (Thomas) and her husband, Kevin Eldridge started their journey in March, 2023. Kevin, or Beefy, as his friends call him, became ill and they turned to medical professionals for answers. In July, 2024, after months of multiple blood tests, CT scans, MRI’s, PET scans, and unanswered questions, along with a continuing decline in his health, Beefy was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Lung Cancer. His medical team came up with a treatment plan and he had his first chemotherapy treatment in September, 2024. Unfortunately, after just one round of chemotherapy, his liver could not withstand any additional treatments. In October, 2024, the decision was made to try a round of immunotherapy. That treatment had to be stopped as well, as his liver was becoming more damaged. Since the original cancer treatment plan is no longer an option, Beefy’s only hope now is through clinical trials. Sadly, his current liver levels are too elevated to begin those. Beefy is currently on steroids, which has caused him to develop insulin dependent diabetes, and edema in both legs and feet. As a result of the edema, he is now being treated for cellulitis. Each new diagnosis results in additional trips to the doctor or hospital, and another delay in treatment. Their hope is for Beefy’s liver levels to improve so they can taper him off the steroids and begin the clinical trials.
We, a group of Dee Dee’s friends and family, met with her and told her we wanted to help in any way we could. Beefy has been unable to work since he first became ill in 2023. From the beginning, Beefy and Dee Dee have given it all to God, and have only asked for prayers. Any money raised will go towards easing their financial burdens associated with Beefy’s fight against his lung cancer. If you prefer to donate in person or locally, there is an account set up at First State Bank in their names. You may donate at any First State Bank location.
Beefy, Dee Dee, and Dylan thank you from the bottom of their hearts for your prayers and for any contribution you can make! Please feel free to share our story.
