Help Kattie's health recovery

Hi, my name is Krizzia Preston, and I met Kattie while working at the same hospital six years ago when she was still a nurse assistant. Our time working together and bonding over the care for our patients and becoming night shift pals have led to us becoming lifelong friends. We have enjoyed having mimosas at brunch, sharing work stories over cocktails, playing Settlers of Catan and enjoying her homemade pasta and baked goods. Kattie is a girl of many talents, among which is baking. She is an incredible baker! I can still remember those peanut butter chocolate cupcakes she made me for my bridal shower! But, beyond her many talents, one that inspires many is her love for her career as a nurse.

Since graduating from nursing school, Kattie has been a travel RN living her dream of caring for our community. Unfortunately, this dream was cut short when she began to have nausea and vomiting at the beginning of 2022.

 

Kattie was in 5th grade when uncontrollable nausea and vomiting started. Eventually, she was diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and POTS or Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome at Mayo Clinic. For years she has battled this chronic illness with no known cure. She has been in and out of hospitals and has been unable to work since last Christmas. She is currently admitted at St. Louis University Hospital and have exhausted her financial resources. I'm reaching out in hopes that family, friends, and anyone with means of help can provide financial relief for her during this time.

 

She is truly loved by many including all of her family, friends, and her darling little niece Luna. We would all be grateful for your donations as they go towards her medical bills that have been piling up. It truly breaks my heart to see someone with so much joy for life become so inundated with worsening symptoms that she can't eat, drink, or enjoy the life that she used to live.
