Help Kat Norris - Liver Tumor Medical Expenses

In December 2022, Kat was rushed to the ER with severe pain and was hospitalized. After a lot of testing and a week in the hospital, Kat and her husband Aaron were told that she had multiple tumors growing in her liver. Due to the seriousness of the situation, the medical team has already begun a plan of action -- which begins with surgery on December 18, 2022, to remove the liver tumors and part of Kat's liver.

Everyone is hopeful that this surgery is the first step in Kat's road to recovery, but there are many unknowns. In addition to surgery, Kat will be facing a multitude of tests and may need additional treatment and procedures depending on the results of her upcoming surgery.

This is a difficult situation that will include a long road to recovery. Kat misses being at work, but her recovery will take some time. Her paid work leave will be exhausted soon, and short-term disability will only cover a portion of her pay and only for a short period. Aaron has already exhausted his paid leave and will need to take unpaid leave to help Kat with medical appointments and procedures. Unfortunately, their medical insurance is only covering a fraction of the expenses, and the massive unplanned medical expenses will be another hurdle to deal with during Kat's recovery and treatment.

Kat and Aaron are so grateful for all the love and support that they have received from friends and family already. While they know this is also a difficult time for many too, any help at this time would be deeply appreciated.
