Help Karen and Donovan Fairbanks Rebuild

I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my sister Karen Fairbanks and her husband Donovan Fairbanks and their two daughters. On 04/14/24 their house caught fire, no people were home at the time. The neighbors called 911 and the swift action of the Anchorage Fire Department was able to get their three pups, gecko and corn snake out in time. Their 17 year old cat "Kitty" did not make it. 11 year old pup "Chewy" is staying overnight in an oxygen box at the vet due to smoke inhalation.

At this time they are not allowed in the home and have a hotel for the next few days. They will be starting over from scratch and trying to figure out the next steps in where they and all their animals can stay together while they sort out the long term plan. Everything in the house is covered in soot, save for the youngest's bedroom because their door was closed.

Neither of us know what to put as a the goal since we've never dealt with this before so we're starting with $20,000. The intent of this GoFundMe is to lessen the burden of vet bills and figuring this ordeal out and cover day to day expenses.
