Help Kamari Get a Life-Saving Small Bowel Transplant
Donazione protetta

On November 12th, our world was turned upside down. Kamari, our sweet and strong little fighter, nearly lost his life after suddenly becoming cold, stiff, and began passing large blood clots and vomiting bile. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors discovered a severe and rare condition: intestinal malrotation with midgut volvulus — a medical emergency that caused most of his intestines to lose blood flow. Kamari underwent emergency surgery where 85% of his intestines had to be removed. Now, he has only 4 centimeters of small bowel left and is living with intestinal failure. He is completely dependent on TPN (total parenteral nutrition), which is delivered through a central line in his chest. He also has a G-tube, a colostomy bag, an open wound, and a blood clot on the right side of his neck. Despite everything, Kamari is still fighting — but he now needs a small bowel transplant to survive and have a chance at a normal life.
We’re asking for your help as we navigate this long and uncertain medical journey. Donations will go toward the following :
Surgery & Hospital Expenses
Even with insurance, there are significant out-of-pocket costs for Kamari’s transplant, including the procedure itself, anesthesia, and extended hospital stays.
Temporary Relocation
Kamari and his mother will need to relocate closer to the transplant center for several weeks or even months. This includes housing, food, gas, and basic living needs while he undergoes treatment.
Post-Transplant Medications
After the surgery, Kamari will require a strict regimen of medications to prevent organ rejection and help his body heal. These life-saving prescriptions are very expensive and will be ongoing.
Follow-Up Appointments & Long-Term Care
Kamari will have frequent follow-ups, lab work, and check-ups to ensure his recovery goes smoothly and the transplant is successful.
Family Support During Recovery
Kamari’s mom is taking time off work to be with him every step of the way. These funds will also help her manage daily costs while caring for her son full-time.
Every share, prayer, and dollar makes a difference. Thank you for supporting Kamari and helping us keep hope alive.
