Juan was diagnosed with malignant carcinoid tumor of the small intestine.  He was in shock at first and angry, however, his faith in God has been growing with each passing day. Right now, they are still running tests and scans to get more details about it all.  Then once the testing is done here, Juan would like to get a second opinion about his treatment options at MD Anderson.  
     Overall, Juan is in good spirits now and is taking it one day at a time. His surgery itself had so many complications that laid him out in the hospital for a total of 9 days. After being released from the hospital, we met with our Family Dr one day and the Oncologist later that week. Since then, he has had a MRI  and had more blood work done.  We have another appointment and, hopefully, only one more scan to go. 
     It was a rough month of August for him, and we’re praying for a better September.  Juan still has a long, rough journey to accomplish, but with his faith in God, family and friends, he will get through this... One Day At A Time!  On behalf of Juan and me, we would like to say thank you and we wish you many blessings!  We are extremely blessed to have so many of you with a kind, loving, and giving heart!
