On May 18, Joseph was at school, sitting on a bench. Another student jumped on the bench and sent Joseph flying. He fell and broke his neck. He was immediately paralyzed on his right side. The fracture was not diagnosed until yesterday, May 31st. He can currently talk and walk with a significant limp, but cannot move his right arm or hand. He is in need of surgery to stabilize the fractured vertebra and avoid further serious or fatal injury. The family is currently attempting to get a passport for him and fly him to Montreal, where a hospital has agreed to receive him and operate on him. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
