A Tribute to Joey and His Family

Hey everybody, Bina here…Tory and Joeys little sister. I unfortunately am starting this GoFundMe on Joey and Tory’s behalf to try and help with them with the enormous financial burdens now on them due to Joey being diagnosed with a Stage 4 High Grade Sarcoma just this past March. Joey started getting sick in late January, various symptoms accompanied by a mass on his neck that steadily got larger as time went on. After multiple ER visits and tests he was told that not only did he have the mass on his neck he also had a mass in his stomach and lesions all over his liver. The diagnosis of Stage 4 High Grade Sarcoma was accompanied by news of it being incurable and if treatments work he could possibly live two years. If the treatments don’t work how long he would be with us is unknown…so of course they are trying everything they can to keep him with us. Radiation, chemo treatments, hospital visits, daily traveling up and down the hill, home nurse visits, multiple ways they are trying to manage his pain and keep him comfortable…all of these things have led to countless bills stacking up and there is no end to them in sight as long as they are fighting this cancer to keep Joey with his family longer. Obviously as soon as Joey got sick my sister left her job to take care of him full time which she has been doing tirelessly in this time when her husband needs her the most. Unfortunately with that they have lost her supplemental income to help not only with his treatments and all that come with it, but also with their monthly household bills. Money from this go fund me will go towards medical bills, gas for the car to take him to his chemo treatments, and help paying their household bills. Now let me tell you a little more about Joey, I’ve known Joey for 17 years and he has always been the sweetest most genuine guy around. He’ll have you laughing so hard you can’t breathe and there’s no better person to sing an oldie with than him. He’s a loving husband, dedicated father, Nino to many… brother… uncle… son.. best friend. I don’t think I know anyone who’s met Joey who doesn’t love him. He deserves to spend more years with his wife and to watch his babies grow more. So we need to keep this fight going. So I am asking for help, anything to make this horrible situation a little less stressful on my sister and my brother so that they can focus on being strong and fighting this together. At the very least please share this so it can hopefully reach more people. Give them your thoughts, your prayers…Anything you think will help, me and my whole family are grateful for.
