A boy from the small town of Uralla with a big love for soccer and an incredible opportunity ahead of him.
We are reaching out with full hearts to ask for a little help for our beautiful 10 year old son, Joah, who has been selected to attend a UK soccer tour in London in April 2027 ⚽❤️
Anyone who knows Joah knows just how much soccer means to him. His love for the game started when he was just 7 years old, and ever since that first day, he has been hooked. He has played every year since, and his passion for soccer has only continued to grow.
Joah proudly plays for Uralla United Football Club, the club he has called home since he first started playing. But for Joah, soccer is so much more than just a game. It’s what makes him happy, what he spends his spare time doing, and something he genuinely loves with his whole heart.
Whether he’s out kicking goals, practising his skills, or teaching others how to play, soccer is never far from his mind. Watching him grow, develop his skills, and build his love for the game has been something we are incredibly proud of as his family.
As a parent, there is nothing quite like watching your child find something they truly love. You see the excitement in their eyes, the happiness it brings them, and the dreams they begin to build around it. You want nothing more than to give them every opportunity possible to follow those dreams.
For Joah to be selected for this UK soccer tour is an incredible achievement, and an opportunity we would love nothing more than to help him take.
This tour would give him the chance to experience soccer overseas, learn new skills, meet other players, and create memories that he will hopefully carry with him for the rest of his life. For a young boy who spends so much of his time playing, practising, and sharing his love of soccer with others, this really could be an experience he will never forget.
But unfortunately, making this dream a reality comes with a significant financial challenge for our family.
Because Joah is only 10 years old, he cannot travel overseas on his own. His mum needs to travel with him to support him and be there by his side throughout this amazing experience. This means we need to find a way to cover the travel expenses for both Joah and his mum.
Like so many other families, we are feeling the pressure of the rising cost of living. We work hard and do what we can, but sometimes, even when you want to give your children every opportunity in the world, the financial side of things makes it difficult.
Asking for help isn’t always easy, but when it comes to giving your child the chance to follow something they are so passionate about, you put your pride aside and hope that a few kind people might be willing to lend a hand.
We aren’t expecting huge donations, and we completely understand that times are tough for everyone.
If you can spare even just $1, that dollar will go towards helping Joah and his mum get one step closer to the UK. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference, and we would be forever grateful for every bit of support.
If you aren’t in a position to donate, sharing Joah’s story would mean just as much to us. You never know who might see it or who might be able to help.
At the end of the day, we are simply a family hoping to give our little boy the opportunity to experience something truly special while doing the thing he loves most.
We want Joah to look back on this moment one day and remember that people believed in him, supported him, and helped him chase a dream that once felt so far away.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to read Joah’s story and for considering helping us make this dream a reality.
Let’s help our soccer-loving boy from Uralla take his passion all the way to the UK! ⚽
One dollar, one donation, and one share at a time, we hope we can help make this incredible opportunity possible for Joah.
With love and heartfelt thanks,
Joah and his family ❤️
