Help Jess be by her daughters side
Jessica received the absolute worst news that a mother could ever receive. Her beautiful, full of life, rambunctious 3 year old daughter, Amara, has been diagnosed with stage 3 RMS Rhabdomyosarcoma (Embryonal). A rare cancer that forms in soft tissue. The tumor is in her lower abdomen/pelvis and is currently the size of an orange. It is a rapid growing cancer that can spread to the lymphnodes, bones, and lungs. It has a 25% rate of not going into remission. It is also known to return. She had her first of many surgeries to have her port put in last week, and Friday morning she will start chemo. It will be a 2 day (48 hour regiment) at the hospital for 12 weeks. Hopefully then, they will be able to undergo the surgery to remove the mass in which she will still need chemo for at least a year.
With Corona and the economy shut down, Jessica already struggled and had a hard time making ends meet. All she wants to stay by her daughter's side and not have to worry about money and how to make ends meet. It's obvious that she is gonna have to take time off of work, as she does most things alone all while also having a new 7 week old. I just want to raise whatever little bit I can to help take away some of her stress. Being a mom myself, I couldn't imagine getting this news and the unknown. Wanting to only protect your child and take away any pain they have.
Our community always comes together to help others, that's why I am so proud to come from a small town. I pray that we can come together for Jess and her sweet girls
