Hi I'm Matt and I'm starting this fund for my partner Jess, who is currently recovering from a series of strokes which occurred in September '23. Caused by a large AVM (a 7cm congenital arterial vein malformation) near her brain stem which had ruptured.

Jess is plagued by constant migraines, fatigue, vision/memory loss and much more which has turned our world upside down.

A once vivacious, outgoing and bubbly personality has lived every day of the past 7 months as if it were her last, and has been told by many specialists that there is nothing that can be done going forward.

Though finally, we have recieved some good news, as a senior neurologist in Sydney has reviewed her case and is willing to provide the much needed Gamma Knife radiation therapy to shrink the AVM and provide a possibility for a somewhat normal life going forward. The radiation surgery will cost around $26,000 and will require travel to Sydney from Perth

I'm asking very kindly for donations so that the urgent medical aid can go forward, as private health insurance doesn't cover this level of surgery

Jess has always been independent, hard working and very giving, though now unable to continue work and study.

She has never liked receiving handouts however, when her livelihood is on the line, anything is worth a shot.
