A rocking chair for Jeff and Rebekka
Donation protected
Hi, lovely people! Jack and Brie here.
(Scroll to the bottom for a TL;DR.)
We were late to the game on a rocking chair and purchased one in a hasty, desperate haze when Patrick was barely a week old. It's...fine, I guess? But had we known then how critical this piece of furniture would be in the months and years to come, we'd have gotten something very different. In fact, we'd have gotten the very chair that Jeff and Rebekka have purchased!
A bit of context: Brie does great deep dives when researching products of consequence, and after spending more time than she might care to admit, she landed on this top-rated chair. We thought we might ask friends and family of the intrepid couple to go in on it with us—but we knew too that adding furniture to other peoples' homes without their input was a little...gauche.
Brie shared info on the chair with J&R, who loved it so much that they bought the dang thing!
It's tough to gift-wrap a web link, so we've put together this GoFundMe. If you'd like to chip in on this chair, here's your chance. No pressure at all; no expectation; and feel free to contribute anonymously.
We remain enormously grateful for the tidal wave of useful items that we were gifted when Patrick joined us in this madcap world. This is a big item that we're happy to know will be a part of Jeff & Rebekka's family in the exciting, exhausting months ahead.
Cheers to all of you,
Jack & Brie
PS Brie created the image attached to this fundraiser and it is loaded with symbolic imagery. She also created a "placeholder" text that I think is spot-on, so I'm leaving it as a TL;DR below.

Help these people hold their baby! They won’t be sleeping so they may as well be sitting in a chair that won’t kill their back, what, do you want them to stand all day??
sit on the floor? No way!
don’t let them suffer in a Bernie’s rocker. Have a heart why don’t you and CHIP IN
