Hey y'all.
About a month ago, due to financial hardship, I was unable to keep an apartment I had gotten on my own and had been maintaining for a little over a year while COVID was hitting.
Unfortunately because of rejection from certain family members (not all) after coming out I was denied the option of coming home and have been forced to use whatever resources I have at my disposal to take care of myself.
I've been lucky enough to take advantage of as many community resources as I could and with aid from those organizations, I have secured stable housing and my move in date is slated for June 4th.
They will be taking care of the first three months of rent (July, August, September) to give me enough time to secure employment as I am currently going through interviews - *THERE'S a very strong prospect that I'll scheduled for tomorrow so fingers crossed*
The money raised goes towards the following items:
- pots/pans/ cookware
- silverware/eating utensils
- bowls, plates, cups
- renter's insurance (This is a requirement for the apartment complex I'm moving to. After the first three months, once I've secured employment I'll be able to pick it myself from there)
- microwave
- broom/dustpan
- trash can
- mop bucket/mop
- cleaning supplies
- toiletries
- laundry hamper
- iron/ironing board
- cleaning supplies
- money to purchase public transit fare (to go to and from job interviews and medical appointments)
- air mattress/comforter set (for the time being until there is consistent income for me to purchase my own bedding)
- hangers
Of course this is short notice, so I'll be leaving this up through the end of June just to give people a realistic time-frame to work with.
I really do appreciate the help as I'm doing EVERYTHING within my control to stabilize myself and move forward from this extremely difficult circumstance to try and make something of myself.
Love y'all
