Help Inua Kike empower women in Busia County, Kenya

Hi, we are a group of four girls at the University of Manchester working with Inua Kike (women rising). Founded in 2015, they are a community based organisation working within Kenya that focuses on empowering women through education, eradicating violence and promoting gender equality.

The project we are currently helping fundraise for aims to empower marginalised school-going adolescents in Busia County (Kenya) in 4 ways:

1. UNIFORM DISTRIBUTION - ensure children can attend school with dignity

2. MENSTRUAL HYGINE SUPPORT - provide reusable sanitary pads and workshops

3. MENTAL HEALTH WELLNESS WORKSHOPS - promote emotional well-being and provide students with skills to manage stress, anxiety and trauma

4. SHRH EDUCATION (sexual and reproductive health and rights) - workshops to both boys and girls to improve understandings of sexual health, consent and reduce teenage pregnancy and STIs
