My name is Hamada, and my family of 10 consists of my father, my mother, and my brothers and sisters. I write to you with a heart heavy with worries and sorrows, yet filled with hope.
We became displaced in the first week of the war, when we fled to the west of the city. The area we fled to was bombed and two of my sisters were injured. We went to Al-Shifa Hospital, where Al-Tallaq Al-Alawi was bombed and my mother was injured in the head, which led to us being forced to flee again to the Al-Mawasi area, south of the Gaza Strip.
After the ceasefire was announced, we returned to our house which we had rebuilt after the Gaza war in 2014, and found it was once again completely destroyed. Once again, our dreams were shattered due to the destruction of our home, which meant our displacement from the Shujaiya neighborhood.
Today, we live in a small tent near the Egyptian border, facing a life full of challenges. As the conflict continued, opportunities for education and a normal life vanished. Our only hope is for your generosity so we can raise enough funds to rebuild once again.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will be a ray of hope in our lives. We invite you to help and share our story with your friends and loved ones, as every support will contribute to restoring hope and life to the Abu Qumbaz family. Riyad, Haya, Amal, Alaa, Saeed, Mohamed, Hamada, Ahmed, Nada, and Jouri are not just names; They are a family torn apart by the ravages of war, longing for a chance at a brighter future. By supporting this fundraiser, you will become a beacon of hope in their darkest hours.
Thank you!
