Help Hilton get to The Adaptive CrossFit Games in Las Vegas
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Hilton Jones and I am an adaptive CrossFit athlete, coach and (most importantly) father to a two year old girl.
I lost my leg in a traffic accident in India when I was 20 years old, but it was only once I moved to Sweden in 2010 that I started training. First it was OCR racing, then kickboxing but now 100 percent CrossFit.
I made it my mission when I turned 50 to qualify for the CrossFit Games - whilst not losing focus on my family or on my coaching career. This has been the toughest challenge of my life.
Last year I came close to qualifying, but fell short in the semi finals. I didn't give up, I kept training and went to Marbella, and won the championship there.
I've been documenting my journey here:
This year I finally made it into the CrossFit Games finals, and I have been invited to compete in Las Vegas. The event kicks off on September 12th.
This international event is a chance to showcase the strength, skill, and resilience of people living with disabilities - and to raise the profile of inclusive sport on a global stage.
The journey to Las Vegas will involve the entry fee (475 USD), international flights, accomodation, living costs, equipment and coaching fees. As a part time CrossFit coach this will be difficult financial burden to manage on my own, so I really appreciate any and all assistance that you can give to help send me to the Games.
Thank you so much in advance for helping me chase my dream,
