Help Heather Tuggle Fight Stage 4 Cancer

Donation protected
We are raising funds for Heather Tuggle to cover out-of-pocket costs for treatment of her stage 4 metastatic poorly differentiated squamous cell cancer.

Heather and Tommy are overwhelmed with gratitude and love for the support they’ve received. They are humbled by your generosity. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Despite having decent medical insurance, Tommy and Heather's co-pays and out-of-pocket expenses are increasing. They often pay for medications themselves while waiting for insurance authorization.
We understand that not everyone can help financially, but any assistance is appreciated as Heather battles this disease. Your donations will help with immediate medical expenses and provide a safety net for unexpected costs during Heather's treatment. We aim to ease the financial burden on Heather and Tommy so they can focus on her recovery.
Healing prayers, wisdom for the medical staff, and stamina for the battle are essential.
Here is some information about Heather. She is a dedicated and active parent to a college freshman and an 18-year-old with special needs. Heather has served as Chief of Staff for Millikan High School Football, supporting the team and coaches for the past five years. Additionally, she has volunteered as a dance helper for the Down for Dance team and has been deeply involved in her children's sports activities.
Heather and Tommy have been married for over 20 years since meeting in high school and starting their family early on. They cherish their time with family and actively participate in their children's activities.

Health updates will be provided on this page as developments occur.
  • As of April 20, 2025 – Following her diagnosis last December, Heather has experienced two unexpected hospitalizations, one due to organ health caused by chemo, and recently for treating an infection. These hospitalizations have delayed chemotherapy, although she has recently completed her third full treatment.
  • On April 27, 2025 – Heather was hospitalized once again for health issues which are being treated with medications. We are hoping she will be returning home soon.
  • Home from the hospital on 5/1/25.
  • 5/14/25 update: The planned chemo treatment for Tuesday 5/13/25 had to be canceled due to organ health. If you didn’t know before now, chemo treatments will not take place if your body (blood test prior) will not handle more than it can safely process. This is the same issue that happened with the previous treatment. The silver lining is that the delay has given her some days of recovery and Heather has used them to attend football events at Millikan High School. You might see her on the field or the sidelines sitting in the coach’s cart. We’re hoping to continue treatments next week. PS – chemo rash is a real thing, and it is debilitating
