Help Harrison Fight Childhood Leukemia

Our world was turned upside down when our 6-year-old son, Harrison, was diagnosed with Childhood Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), a type of cancer which affects the bone marrow and blood. Harrison is a fun-loving, sporty, rambunctious, shy, and caring little brother to two older sisters, aged 10 and 12. He loves video games, sports, running around doing anything outside, and swimming and playing with his sisters.

Harrison was suffering from a fever the morning after Halloween, so he was taken to his pediatrician for what seemed like a routine urgent care visit, which then turned into a referral to CHOA, more testing and this heartbreaking diagnosis. Harrison is very loved by his family, friends and teachers, he has certainly touched the lives of many around him. We are all very scared but have such a big community praying and supporting our family. We know that God is in control and that Harrison is a fighter! Please consider supporting the fight of his life as he goes through procedures and chemotherapy.

The outpouring of love, check-ins, and support has truly been humbling. Our family and friends have been there every step of the way, and we couldn't appreciate it more. We are asked almost daily what we need or how someone can help. Many of you have already done so much, and we are eternally grateful for the assistance in taking care of his siblings and bringing them to see Harrison, taking care of the laundry, looking after our animals and much more, it means so much!

We do not make this request for donations in the hopes that anyone will give more than they are able, but as we start to look at the costs we are going to incur, we are concerned about the financial impact this treatment is going to bring to our family. Anything extra we will donate to the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta to help others in their fight.
