My journey through the war in Gaza began on October 7, 2023. Life used to be simple for our family of six. My husband worked in a modest job, and our children attended school. Everything seemed fine until that fateful day when the war began. Our home was completely destroyed and is no longer habitable.

We once had dreams for our small family, but now, all we seek is to survive this devastating war. There is no safety, no shelter, no clean water, and not enough food. We struggle daily to find even the basic necessities of life. My husband is doing everything he can for our family, but the toll on all of us has been immense.

My children, whose childhoods have been stolen, were injured in the bombings. Even my husband was not spared. The psychological impact on my children is profound—they are haunted by the sounds of bombs, the constant displacement, and the horrific scenes we have witnessed, including homes being demolished around us.

For the past seven months, we’ve faced unimaginable hardships. I’m writing this while still living in the midst of this nightmare. If you can imagine this happening to one family, think of how many others are facing the same fate.
