Help Gwen's Family Through Tough Times

Hey guys! For those who don't know me, my name is Gwen. I'm 42 years old and live in Daytona Beach, FL with my husband and two amazing kiddos. Back in April I became ill with some weird cough, and ended up visiting the hospital emergency room with uncontrollable back pain. Literally within a whirl wind span of time, i was whisked back for ultrasounds and MRIs. Before even realized what was going on, I was admitted with stage 3 cervical cancer.

Through my entire cancer diagnosis and treatments, I have remained humbled and blessed beyond belief by the grace of God. We have managed as family to support ourselves without feeling like we needed financial assistance. Unfortunately, that need has changed.

I absolutely despise admitting I need help, but I guess i need set my ego aside for now. My disability was exhausted two weeks ago, and i am suffering from a total loss of income at the moment. My husband's income alone is not enough to supplement our needs. I plan to return to work around August 11th, but it will still take a couple of months to start receiving a steady income again. Not to throw ourselves a giant pity party here, but its been difficult explaining to my kids that there wont be any new clothes for back to school this year, nor much of a celebration for my son's 18th birthday coming up either.

In closing, if anyone is in the position to help us out, we would all really appreciate it. We will be using any donations to help pay our rent and utilities for the next two months. Car insurance, food, medical co-pay, things like that. And even if you cant donate, please share this post. I've never asked for help like this before, so I'm feeling a bit embarrassed. I want to thank you guys for taking the time to read my story, and possibly help us out on our last leg (hopefully) of my cancer journey.
