Help for Greg & Family after suffering a stroke

On May 25, 2019 my brother-in-law,  Greg suffered a massive life-threatening stroke that caused bleeding on his brain. he was rushed to Sentara Princess Anne Hospital, where they stabilized him for transport to Virginia Beach General Hospital to receive further assessment and treatment by a Neurologist.

A surgical procedure was required to place a tube in his head to drain the blood off of his brain. Once out of surgery it was determined that the left side of Greg's body had suffered some damage and there is no guarantee that he will regain the full function of his left side.  Currently he remains in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Virginia Beach General Hospital.

He has made some very hopeful progress in the recent days. He is now breathing on his own and the feeding tube has been removed. Greg also has some memory loss that we hope is only short-term.  He has a long road ahead of him that will require intensive inpatient rehabilitation and maybe Outpatient rehabilitation.

Greg is a professional barber and has run his own barbershop for many years. It is a possibility that he may not physically be able to continue this profession. Greg has always been the primary bread winner for his family. This very unfortunate incident has cast a severe financial burden on my sister Felecia who is solely now caring for their two youngest sons, trying to manage a barbershop, mounting medical bills, and daily expenses for her and the boys.

Thank you to the many people that have ask how they can help and who have taken time out of their day to visit Greg.  This is the help that Greg and his family cannot continue to go without. We ask for anything that will help keep Greg on the path to recovery and help his wife keep the family a float.
