Help Give Irma Valdez Silva a Dignified Farewell

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Irma Valdez Silva. Authorities have not provided an exact date of death, but she was last seen alive on Father's Day, June 15th, 2025. Irma was first reported missing, and after an extensive search by family, friends, and authorities, her body was found in a wooded area in Newton County on June 18th, 2025.

Irma had four children and was a beloved daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She leaves behind her loving family, friends, and her precious daughter Jimena, who is only 7 years old and depended on her. Irma was born and raised in Tamaulipas, Mexico, but lived in Covington, GA, for the last few years.

This GoFundMe was created by me, Alejandra Morales Flores, to help her brother Pedro Valdez Silva cover the costs of funeral expenses in hopes of giving her the dignified farewell she deserves after such an unexpected and cruel death. Pedro Valdez Silva is my stepfather and Irma's only family member in the United States. He will be taking on all the financial responsibility for the funeral costs and transportation of her body. All donations / funds will be used to pay the funeral home directly. Pedro resides in Colorado and traveled to Newton County, Georgia, to search for Irma and make funeral arrangements.

If there are any funds left, Pedro will be giving them to Jimena, Irma's 7-year-old daughter. The family does not know details of her murder at this time, as it is still an open investigation. All that is known is that she was murdered by her neighbors, who have been arrested. She will be laid to rest in her hometown so that her mother, children, siblings, and family can say their goodbyes.

Las autoridades no han proporcionado la fecha exacta de su fallecimiento, pero fue vista con vida por última vez el Día del Padre, el 15 de junio de 2025. Irma fue reportada como desaparecida y, tras una extensa búsqueda por parte de familiares, amigos y autoridades, su cuerpo fue encontrado en una zona boscosa del condado de Newton el 18 de junio de 2025.

Irma tuvo cuatro hijos y fue una hija, abuela, hermana, tía y amiga muy querida. Le sobreviven su querida familia, sus amigos y su querida hija Jimena, quien solo tiene 7 años y dependía de ella. Irma nació y creció en Tamaulipas, México, pero vivió en Covington, Georgia, durante los últimos años.

Este GoFundMe fue creado por mí, Alejandra Morales Flores, para ayudar a su hermano Pedro Valdez Silva a cubrir los gastos funerarios con la esperanza de brindarle la despedida digna que merece tras una muerte tan inesperada y cruel. Pedro Valdez Silva es mi padrastro y el único familiar de Irma en Estados Unidos. Él asumirá toda la responsabilidad financiera de los gastos funerarios y el transporte de su cuerpo.
