Two months ago, our darling cat Monty had an accident and fractured his pelvis. After eight weeks of crate rest, we’ve learned that he still needs surgery to recover properly and live without pain.

After initial vet fees of almost £1000, and a planned surgery of £1900 for next week, we found out this week that the surgeon has left our vet and they have reissued a new quote of £3500 for the surgery. 

We want to give Monty the best chance at a full recovery, but the cost of his surgery is more than we can manage on our own. Any donation, big or small, will help us get him the treatment he needs and back to the happy, active life he deserves.

Monty has been such a gentle, patient soul through everything — always ready for a cuddle and a purr, even when he’s uncomfortable. He’s missed being able to run, climb, and play with his best friend, our dog Paddington, who doesn’t quite understand why his brother can’t join in their usual games.

This month is Monty’s 2nd birthday, and more than anything we’d love to celebrate by giving him the chance to live pain-free and get back to the curious, playful cat he’s meant to be.
