Dear Friends of TARA,
Valerie, a member of the prestigious American College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ACNP) has been invited to present TARA's new research project at the ACNP Dec 8-11 meeting, in Phoenix, Arizona. This is an opportunity to share innovative new ideas with leading researchers and clinicians that can influence the future treatment of personality disorders and addictions.
Eszter Tolgyesi, TARA researcher and Valerie are presenting "Rethinking Personality Disorder from a Research Domain Criteria (RDOC) Perspective: Have We Found the ‘P’ Factor?" Their work introduces new insights into BPD by revealing the common factors underlying personality disorders. It explores cutting edge treatment approaches, based on psychedelics. Eszter has been with TARA since 2021. Her contribution to this presentation is essential in articulating and explaining our new perspective.
This opportunity is vital for advancing TARA’s mission. The cost of travel and related expenses are significant, especially as we still recovering from our recent fire damage. We are asking for your help and support to make sure Eszter and Valerie make this important presentation. We want to ensure that TARA’s work motivates the scientists who can make a difference and find the cure for BPD, not just symptom management.
As family members you understand the suffering of loved ones with these disorders and the challenges personality disorders present to families. You know how urgently we need different, more effective treatments for BPD. Your contribution to our research efforts can make a meaningful difference, potentially changing the landscape of care for those who need it most.
Thank you for your continued support of TARA.
With our deep gratitude for your generosity,
