Help for Joel West

As some of you may already know, Joel (12 years old) was tragically hit by a car on Caves Road, near Dunsborough, last Thursday afternoon, just before Good Friday. He was air-lifted to Perth Children's Hospital. He had a 7 hour operation on his leg and so far has received over 20 units of blood. He is currently in an induced coma for the next few days and remains in a critical but stable condition.

His liver and kidneys were badly injured in the crash, which led to internal bleeding. His pelvis is broken in 2 places and his ribs, neck and head have also all been injured.

His Mum Roanna is up in Perth with him and really grateful for all the love and support sent through so far. They have a very long road to recovery. Any extra funds would be much appreciated. This will help give his family time to spend with him in Perth and cover living costs up there including food and amenities. When he gets back down south there will also be a lot of rehabilitation and time needed for her to be with him.
