Sergeant Duff is an icon of service, high moral character, and above all, love. Sergeant Kevin Duffey of the Waltham Police Department and 1367th Military Police Company has dedicated his existence to helping others. His sacrifice and commitment to our country is not only shown from his combat tour in Afghanistan in 2011, but the people's lives he has impacted along the way.
Sergeant Duffy's unshakable drive and resilience have inspired hundreds, if not thousands, of soldier's lives during his service. Anyone who has spent a couple of minutes with Duff knows how special he is. His mere presence impacts people for a lifetime. If you have been around him, you don't forget it. He motivates and inspires others to be better.
Sergeant Kevin Duffey continues a legacy of knowledge and skill that his peers, subordinates, and leadership admire and continue to grow from. All he does is give. He gives to his family, gives to the Army as a Military Police Sergeant, and gives to his community as a Police Officer. He does this out of the love inside his heart that knows no bound. And for the first time, his heart needs our help.
Sergeant Duffey has given a lifetime of loyalty, care, and service and values to every person he has ever interacted with. He is now suffering from heart complications and had open heart surgery on April 12th. His fight is just beginning. Sergeant Duffey represents the best of us. It's our turn to give to him and support him in this difficult time.
