Recently on Wednesday 7th July the Council (and the court) decided to still hold the trial in Exeter – in full knowledge that none of the Directors could attend. They applied for an adjournment 3 times over the few weeks before the hearing and yet heard no response from either the court or council.
They were also denied having any witnesses, and from filing a defence statement. Then both Directors at the time were summons on 22ndApril – after the Council had confirmed in Court that we would not be sent a summons. To do this was a clear abuse of process and one of the many points that we will highlight during our legal challenges.
In that hearing the Deputy District Judge issued a total of £42,000 in fines, costs and victim surcharges – which is ridiculous, unlawful and may as well be £42 Million pounds.
Hence well-wishers have asked for Finla to set up a 'gofundme' page to be set up - So here it is!
The owners intend to fight this all the way; for the avoidance of any doubt none of the money will go to Finla Coffee Ltd or its directors.
The owners do not stand to benefit from this in any way (other than being on the receiving end of your kindness and generosity)
Please only give what you can afford and know that you are doing a great thing to protect our freedom, unite communities and support those in need.
The owners are very proud of the stance they have taken to prevent the erosion of freedom and our community.
Your help is greatly appreciated
