Help Evacuate Rasheed's Family From Gaza
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Mahmoud and I am a resident physician in Milwaukee raising funds on behalf of my Palestinian friend and colleague, Rasheed Abu Halima, and his family to help them escape the destruction in Gaza.

About Rasheed:
Rasheed was an ENT (ear, nose, and throat) resident physician at Al-Shifa Hospital before it was attacked. His family consists of 10 adults: his mother and father, Rasheed and his wife Basma, 2 sisters, 3 brothers, and his brother-in-law, as well as 4 children: his 5-month-old son, 2 nieces, and his nephew. They all resided together in a warm, vibrant family home in Gaza City. Sadly, his family's home and factory were destroyed in the war, forcibly displacing them to the south, to Rafah.

His family currently faces innumerable challenges, struggling to find the most basic life necessities including shelter, food, and water. Resources for his infant son are even more scarce, with almost no milk or diapers in the entirety of the Gaza Strip. Once among the most dignified families of Gaza, their livelihoods have now been entirely uprooted, leaving them with no choice but to ask for help to secure their passage to Egypt. Rasheed dreams of being able to resume his medical career, to continue to aid in healing the world.

Note For Transparency:
The current asking price at the Rafah border is $5000 per adult and $2500 per child, coming down to $60000 in total. The priority will be to evacuate the women and children first, followed by the young adults, followed by the men. Any remaining funds would be used to support their living expenses in Egypt.
These funds will be transferred in $5000 batches to Rasheed's trusted beneficiaries in Egypt, who will then directly pay the Egyptian delegates responsible for the movement of Palestinians in and out of Gaza. Updates will be provided here as time goes on.
