Emma... A very tragic story of a 7-month-old puppy... Found at a Dollar Tree in pain as a hit and run. Emma was taken to a home for the night to keep her safe. After searching for a rescue and nobody helped, the only rescue that agreed to place Emma under their care was Joy and Love Rescue. Although economically she knew she couldn’t take on this case, she couldn’t leave this dog with no help. Emma was taken to Pet Lovers the following morning to get her surgery... The quoted $4,000 that the rescue did not have. Emma went home on pain meds, and a sponsor was found (she’s a rescue). She said she will pay for Emma’s surgery as long as it’s under her vet. Joy and Love Rescue thought it was someone to trust... Unfortunately, it was a mistake. Emma needed a femur surgery, but they performed 2 femur surgeries on Emma, placing some sort of metals into her. Emma has been left paralyzed and unable to walk. After many denials when updates were asked for, we simply got a “she’s okay, and recovering.” Two weeks later, we got a “she’s not wanting to walk.” We knew something was wrong. Emma was returned to her foster mom, and this is how she was returned.

Emma NOW needs to see a neurologist to be able to locate where the problem is coming from and help her be able to walk again. It’s not something that’s cheap... It’s estimated to be about $5,000. Emma has been kept as comfortable as possible and is trying to walk with her wheelchair, but obviously, this puppy should be able to walk again. This is not fair for her. Help me raise funds to support Emma’s neurologist visit.

The sponsor is denying to send the medical records that were done at her vet, and that is NEEDED so the doctors can know what they actually did to her. This is so unfair to Emma, and we need help to get Emma back on her feet. It’s unfortunate no sponsor will ever be trusted again unless it’s not the vet of the rescues choice ..

11/03 Emma has seen a Neurologist and it is unfortunate to say the Doctor said this is irreversible.. At this point the only thing that may able help Emma get comfortable is receiving therapy to make her as comfortable as possible. Emma will need a customized wheelchair as well that will need to be adjusted to her. Every fund donated will be going toward Emma’s therapy, pampers, customized wheelchair, and anything else to make her feel as comfortable as possible. It is unfortunate to say Emma at 8 months old is paralyed. Emma is looking for an experienced medical foster.
