My brother Edwin Gilliland and my best friend Rodney Mcday are about to do something that sounds impossible.

They’re traveling to Los Angeles with just $1 in their pocket no backup money, no safety net relying entirely on the kindness of strangers and the belief that people still show up for one another.

This isn’t a stunt for fame. It’s a real-life test of trust, humanity, and connection. Every meal, every mile, every place to rest will come from generosity — whether that’s a kind word, a shared meal, a ride, or a small donation.
