Hello, my name is Loai Hidar Hamad from Gaza. I am 26 years old. I graduated a year ago from the Islamic University in Gaza. I was hoping to specialize in surgery in my beautiful coastal city of Gaza in Al-Shifa Hospital, the largest in Palestine. These are pictures of me in Al-Shifa Governmental Hospital.

I am now in Nuseirat in central Gaza, volunteering in the medical tents with the GMT team.

After October 7, the Israeli army destroyed all of Gaza’s hospitals, and I had no choice but to leave Gaza to specialize in surgery in Germany.

My home and all my family’s dreams in Gaza have been shattered. Now I am their only hope to go out and take care of them after specializing in surgery and working in Germany to earn money to make decent knitting for them.

 Muhammad Abu Harbid is my friend in Germany. The money is going to him, and then he will transfer it to me here in Gaza so that I can travel soon.

How do I plan to spend money?

10,000 to leave Gaza and 18,000 to settle and study in Germany over a period of 5 years.

Any other amount will be spend here in Gaza helping the displaced people.
