Help Diaa Drive Taxi

"To be a mother who cannot provide medicine to your children when they are sick or food when they are hungry, that's a fate worse than death. I am one of those mothers, who is out of options. My husband, who suffers from chronic and severe asthma, cannot work. Our dreams were shattered when Israel bombed and destroyed our house. We have been living in bitterness and darkness, struggling to meet our basic needs." Nour Masiry lives with her husband Diaa, their two sons Karam and Kerem, and their new-born baby daughter Siham in the Gaza Strip. Due to the ongoing Israeli siege, Gaza has one of the highest unemployment rates in the world. When their home was destroyed by an Israeli missile, they moved into a small crowded room in a relative's house. But the roof of that house was in danger of collapsing. The heavy winter rain and near-continuous Israeli bombing forced the family to evacuate their home once again last January. Since then, they have been relying on the kindness of strangers to help them rent an apartment. Their current living situation is not sustainable. Because of chronic, acute asthma, Diaa is not able to do physically strenuous work. But he has a drivers license. Nour and Diaa believe that, if he had a car, he could earn a living for the family as a taxi driver. If you are able, please help this family to realize their dream of having a livelihood with dignity. Nour says, "I hope from you, good and pure friends, who support humanity and fight poverty, deprivation and injustice, who instill in your instinct the love of helping the poor and the needy, I hope you will help us so my husband can buy a taxi, so he can support our poor family."
