Desja Hartman, her partner Adam, and their five children—four girls and one boy—recently experienced a devastating house fire that started in their oldest daughter’s room. The fire was discovered by one of the children, who had to be hospitalized for smoke inhalation, but thankfully everyone is now safe. While the family has found a temporary place to stay, the aftermath has left them facing many urgent needs as they work to rebuild their lives.
The fire destroyed most of their personal belongings, leaving Desja, Adam, and the kids without basic necessities. They are in immediate need of help covering medical bills, as well as replacing essential items like undergarments, socks, soap, and food. With five children, the costs add up quickly, and finding clothing for Adam, who is big and tall, has been especially challenging. The family is grateful to have a roof over their heads, but the road to recovery is long and overwhelming.
Your support will help Desja and her family get back on their feet by providing for their most urgent needs while they are displaced from their home. Every contribution will make a difference as they work to replace what was lost and regain a sense of normalcy. Thank you for helping this family during such a difficult time.
