On Sunday, November 24, 2024, Dean was involved in a horrific ATV accident, leaving him with multiple injuries, requiring multiple procedures, and an extended hospitalization. As Dean's community, we are committed to providing any aid we can during this tumultuous time. Anything would help as we navigate the upcoming months.

Update on Dean

Thank you all for visiting our page and for keeping Dean in your thoughts and prayers. We are incredibly grateful for your support throughout this journey.

As of now, Dean is doing significantly better than he was back in November, though he remains in the hospital. He has since been transferred from Plano to Heart and Spine in Dallas, where he is working closely with physical therapists, doctors, nurses, and an incredible team dedicated to his healing.

We’re so encouraged by the progress he’s making! Dean is now able to type on a phone, watch TV, listen to music, and communicate more clearly with us. He has undergone multiple surgeries on his lungs, brain, and trachea—each one bringing him closer to recovery. However, he still has three upcoming surgeries: one on his left lung, another on his brain, and another on his clavicle, at a minimum. Despite these challenges, we are finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel.

Doctors have indicated that he will most likely be able to return home sometime in May, but we are still over a month away from that possibility. Please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate this road to recovery. We are beyond blessed to have such an incredible community lifting us up.
