My name is Daniel, and I recently underwent spine surgery while being diagnosed with spinal cord injury. This has been one of the most difficult experiences of my life, but I am holding onto hope. My doctors believe there is a real chance I could walk again, and I have been referred to SCI-FIT in Salida - a place where people with severe injuries like mine have made incredible progress. Some who were completely paralyzed have even walked again after their time there. Knowing that possibility exists gives me so much motivation to keep fighting for my recovery.

The challenge is that with all the medical expenses my family pays for, it is difficult to afford to go to SCI-FIT. Every session brings me closer to regaining my independence, but affording as many as I need is difficult. That’s why I am reaching out for help.
