Help Colten Fight For His Life

Hi, my name is Jodie and I'm Colten's Step Mom. Tuesday morning our whole world came crashing down. Colten,9, was playing with his sisters and suddenly became lethargic and unresponsive. He had no

recollection of who anyone was nor where he was. He was rushed to Thunder Bay Hospital by ambulance.

Hours later, we found out Colten suffered from an almost two hour silent seizure. A brain MRI followed and at 10:00 pm we received the most devastating news... Colten has a large swollen tumor in his brain.

Almost immediately, Andrew (dad) and Colten were flown by orange to London Children's Hospital, to meet oncology and one of the top neurosurgeons in Canada.

Friday, myself and Colten's sister/step sisters flew commercially as advised from doctors, to all be together.

On Monday, Colten will undergo a very serious 24 hour brain surgery to attempt to remove the very large, swollen tumor from his brain.

Our family will be here for a few weeks minimum as Colten fights for his life during and after this severe surgery. He will be in ICU following surgery.

Prior to Tuesday morning, Colten was a very healthy, happy boy who enjoyed soccer, European handball, gaming with friends, and making memories with his family.

The funds collected will be used to help with associated costs being away from home for a prolonged period, such as: rent, bills, cabs, meals, commercial flights, spending Christmas away from home, as well as being unable to work due to stress and being 1200km away. Most importantly not knowing what hills we may have to climb post surgery.
