Help Cherri Murphy Recover and Rebuild

Cherri Murphy is a committed minister and advocate for the people. A strong believer that God is present in every human being, Cherri has worked tirelessly to improve wages and living conditions for people who are struggling.

Now Cherri needs our help.

In the early summer, Cherri suffered a number of serious medical complications following what should have been routine surgery. These included blood clots in her heart and lungs, requiring additional surgeries, and also a significant stroke. At this writing, Cherri has no use of the right side of her body and is unable to speak. (If you knew Cherri, you'd know what a misery that last bit is!)

As her friends, we are committed to getting Cherri into the best rehab possible in order to give her a shot at maximum recovery. Cherri is committed to working hard to get back as much functionality as she can, and we've found an intensive neurological rehab facility where she has been accepted, BUT her insurance will not cover the cost. We have to pay it all out of pocket.

We know the systems are broken and breaking further as we write this. Right now, we (you, us, Cherri--all of us together) are all we have. Can you help us raise the money for Cherri to get the care she needs?

We need $47,000 for the rehab center that she is transferring into TODAY. We're also hoping to raise at least an additional $13,000 to help Cherri keep her house and car and meet other expenses. She has been out of work since June and won't be able to return for some time.
