My name is carol and this is hard to do because I don't ever ask anyone for help but I am in a desperate situation. My son is 10 and has a rare condition called imagawa matsumoto syndrome which only 15 to 17 people in the entire world have in which causes him to grow rapidly, with this condition he also has epilepsy, autism, he is non verbal and in a wheelchair. We have had caregivers from agencies that have stole from the home on camera and left our son in feces, so 3 years ago his dad started working for the agency and did all their classes and backgrounds to be our son's paid caregiver well 3 months ago the agency called on a Thursday with no notice that they were cutting his pay off and leaving me with no caregiver so I can work. So now I am in a bad bind with bills piling up and I have started an application with APD to help but that doesn't have over night unfortunately and will take time. It's taking alot to do this as I never ask for help and I stay very private alot of people whom don't know me don't even know I have a disabled child because I don't use it for sympathy or anything like that. I now have to swallow my pride and ask for help from my community. My son sees 14 specialist on a regular and the car is gonna get repoed if I cant pay it. How embarrassing, I've never ever asked anyone for anything. We don't get foodstamps or any help I work my butt of to make sure we are good. I am a server so everyday is not a guarantee on what you're going to make, every penny is do make goes to bills! I can prove everything as I have genetic reports and everything i am not trying to scam anyone. I don't party or do anything crazy. I work and back home to my son.
