Help Caleb Attend DeLaSalle High School
Family and Friends, we need your help. God has placed an amazing opportunity in front of Caleb. He's been accepted to DeLaSalle High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. DHS https://delasalle.com/ is a private, college prep school where Caleb will be a part of a diverse community of students and receive a high-quality, Christian value-based academic education.
If you know The Treadways, you know our values. God. Faith. Prayer. Hard Work. Service. DeLaSalle mimics these values and so much more.
More importantly, these are Caleb's values. Caleb is 14 years old and has his own relationship with God. He appreciates the opportunity to go to a school where he will pray before each class. Caleb is becoming a well rounded young man of God. Caleb serves at our church and plays the drums almost every week and he co-led a group of 1st and 2nd graders at Vacation Bible School. Caleb played with a church in Minneapolis in front of an audience of 500 people.
Recently, Caleb also participated in the summer Jazz Experience Program where the goal of the program is to foster creativity and collaboration by bringing together aspiring artists from diverse backgrounds with a common desire to make new music rooted in jazz, blues, pop and hip-hop. Here's his audition video.
Caleb was featured on Sound Field with his amazing mentor, Arthur "LA" Buckner. Sound Field is a music education series that explores the music theory, production, history and culture behind our favorite songs and musical styles. Go to 4:40 to see Caleb in a lesson with his mentor.
Caleb doesn't limit his creativity to music. Caleb has played a part in multiple plays including King Triton in "The Little Mermaid" and Lead Detective in "Axe of Murder". Caleb has also been approached by churches in the Minneapolis area and has upcoming opportunities to minister at those churches.
Caleb was invited to apply for admission to DHS by one of it's music program teachers who sees the potential in Caleb both musically and academically. Attending DHS will help Caleb develop his natural gift, talent and anointing as a drummer. We also believe this opportunity will enhance Caleb's potential and broaden his musical range. We encourage Caleb to learn music from every musical genre. Of course, attending DHS will also prepare Caleb for college and beyond.
The challenge we face is while this is an amazing opportunity, it was not one we expected or had budgeted for as a family. The amount we hope to raise will fund his tuition for the 21-22 school year. We applied for financial aid through DHS and they have supported us generously. Here's where you can help! Please consider supporting Caleb as we raise funds for the remainder of his tuition.
We will be sure to keep you all updated throughout the year regarding Caleb's experience and growth at DHS. There's no donation too big or too small. We appreciate any way you can help us. Thank you!
Kenneth, Octavia and Caleb Treadway
