Hi, I’m Kellie and I'm wanting to raise money for one of my best friends, Brooke Harshaw. She has been dealing with pain for 3 weeks and has been discharged by multiple hospitals because the tests they were running were not the ones she needed. She has finally been admitted to a hospital due to a severe UTI that is antibiotic-resistant, which has caused her autoimmune disease to flare up and trigger Rhabdomyolysis. Rhabdomyolysis is the breakdown of muscle tissue. It results in the release of a protein called myoglobin into the blood. Myoglobin can damage the kidneys. This is causing her not to function properly and use a walker to get around. She hasn’t been able to go to work for the past 3 weeks and it looks like she won’t be able to until she is at full strength, which can take months. All funds are going towards hospital bills and helping to pay for bills associated with not being able to work. Please consider donating.
