Help Nic Schuck Publish Green Flash at Sunset

For centuries, artists have depended on the generous patronage of others to help support their creative endeavors. Today is no different.

I’ve decided with my third novel, Green Flash at Sunset, to follow the steps of other authors that have taken the route of self-publishing: John Milton with Paradise Lost, Jane Austen with Sense and Sensibility, Mark Twain with The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and James Joyce with Ulysses.

After having my first two novels published with a small press, I feel I’ve learned a little about the creative process and would like to attempt this next publication on my own, and with some help from my friends.

I truly believe Green Flash at Sunset is my best book. It’s four interwoven stories set in Key West: Janet escaping a toxic marriage, Randall haunted by the ghosts of his past and battling financial woes as a charter boat captain, Stacy seeking songwriting fame, and Eli facing blindness and fading stardom as an escape artist. Their quests for freedom and fulfillment is a tale of resilience, tragedy, and the hopes of unexpected triumph.

Your support will go toward the biggest expense of hiring an editor, a book cover designer, buying ISBN numbers, and getting a Kirkus review if I reach my goal.

This route gives me full artistic control and relies solely on the merit of my art, which I proudly stand behind.
