Help Brandi and Curt Rebuild After a Devastating House Fire

In the middle of the night, my big sister Brandi and her husband Curt's life changed forever. A sudden and devastating electrical fire tore through her home, destroying nearly everything. Thankfully, Brandi and her husband made it out safely — along with their beloved dogs — but their house is now unlivable and won’t be ready for them to return until early next year.

Right now, they are doing their best to stay strong while living in a borrowed camper parked in their yard. It’s the only way they can stay close to their pets, who mean the world to them. Unfortunately, the insurance company has only helped cover one month of camper rental — leaving them with months of housing expenses and the countless costs of starting over from scratch. The credit cards are about maxed and options are running out.

Brandi has spent over 20 years serving her community as a dedicated middle school alternative teacher, helping students who need a second chance. Now, she needs a little help herself.

The fire didn’t just take their home. It destroyed her and her husband's clothing, bedding, furniture, and a lifetime of rock music memorabilia they’d collected together — memories they’ll never be able to replace.
